Features & Highlights
AutoRemote is a powerful automation tool that seamlessly connects your devices and enhances your workflow. It is particularly useful for those who crave efficiency and want to minimize repetitive tasks in their daily routines. Here are some core features that truly stand out:
Real Experience Using AutoRemote
Application Scenarios
My day-to-day life has been significantly streamlined since I started using AutoRemote. For instance, during busy workdays, I often find myself juggling multiple devices. One scenario I frequently encounter is transitioning from my phone to my laptop for a video conference. With AutoRemote, I can effortlessly send a command from my phone to my laptop to open the meeting link. This eliminates the awkward delays of searching for the link or fumbling with app settings.
Additionally, on weekends, I love using AutoRemote to set the mood for family movie night. I have preset commands that dim the lights, turn on the TV, and even ready the popcorn machine—all with a single tap. It has truly turned our movie nights into a seamless experience, allowing us to focus on what matters most: family time.
User Experience
The user interface of AutoRemote is clean and intuitive, making it easy for anyone to navigate, regardless of their tech-savviness. The dashboard presents all your connected devices in one place, and setting up new commands is as simple as following a step-by-step wizard. I appreciate how responsive the app is—commands are executed almost instantly, which is crucial when I am in a hurry. Overall, my experience with AutoRemote has been overwhelmingly positive. It genuinely feels like having a personal assistant in my pocket!
Pricing
AutoRemote offers a free version with basic features that can cater to casual users. However, for those who wish to unlock its full potential, the premium version is available. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the time and effort it saves in daily life. With the premium plan, I can access advanced features like custom command creation and additional device integrations, which has proven to be worth every penny for my busy lifestyle.
Updates & Support
AutoRemote is frequently updated, ensuring that the app remains compatible with the latest devices and operating systems. I have noticed enhancements in performance and new features rolled out almost every few months. The support team behind AutoRemote is responsive and helpful; they provide a comprehensive FAQ section and are available for direct assistance if any issues arise. This level of support gives me peace of mind knowing that I can rely on them if needed.
Security & Privacy Review
As a conscientious user, I always consider security and privacy when using new apps, especially those that connect multiple devices. AutoRemote is available on both the App Store and Google Play, offering a level of credibility associated with these reputable platforms. During the registration process, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, which I appreciated. This approach minimizes exposure while still allowing me to enjoy the app’s full features.
Importantly, AutoRemote does not bombard users with ads or engage in excessive tracking behavior. It respects user privacy by limiting data collection and focusing on functionality rather than invasive advertising. Overall, I feel secure using AutoRemote, knowing that my personal information is safeguarded while I enjoy the benefits of automation in my daily life.

If you don't like this app, it's very likely it's because you've not taken the time to understand it. THIS PRODUCT IS FOR LIFE HACKERS. I've been using this to remotely lock my work PC for a long time. Coupled with the Chrome extension, EventGhost (on PC) and Autohotkey, you could tell your PC to email a file using Outlook with one simple push from phone. You could even have your phone tell you that someone woke your PC while you were away.

Very cool plug in. Its a bit like having a remote server to relay data between devices, while only having to make a one time payment. The only downside for me was latency with mobile networks. Not a good mix. It caused reliability issues and profiles were getting backed up. It would stop receiving, eventually bug out, then run old commands when corrected after a long retry process.

There's still a lot to be desired & bugs too: when renaming devices, the name doesn't change, you have to quit and come back; when sending a message through the right-click menu (with all the options), if the last item is "Send Message / Send your message now!", what's the point of the ✓ & × up top?!? It confuses as the way of sending the message, or doesn't work if it's there to save options (like device pwd); If we receive a message, right password or not, how can I see/copy it from the log???

If you like fiddling with and tweaking android, plus doing basically anything you can find a sensor or way to communicate for.... Tasker is your app. Autoremote is a welcome extension that enables you to easily communicate between devices. Joao is literally a god with Android dev. Dunno how they do it, but Tasker gets great support, has a huge featureset, and thus far I have yet to be disappointed in any of the plugins they've written. My minor critique: There's probably a bit better of a way to get device registration and such done - the QR code is kind of awk since some devices don't fully support that OOB, and... the link was kind of a pain to figure out how to copy. My suggestion would be enabling a few other options, like NFC or Bluetooth to do this. Anyway, great app, can't find much wrong with it.

I am having trouble getting the autoremote app to properly send messages consistently. I purchased the app but now instead of the goo.gl/ address it says I need the portion after autoapps.ja....etc that is seen in the lite version to register my device. I am not sure what changed that caused issues with my profiles in tasker that previously worked....
