I found the value offered by GIO to be excellent, considering the quality of the headshots generated.

It’s reassuring to see an app that values user input and continuously strives for improvement.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, GIO: AI Headshot Generator takes significant measures to protect user data, which is especially important for American users concerned about personal information. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the security standards set by these platforms.
Registration is straightforward, requiring minimal personal information, which is a relief in today's climate where data privacy is a growing concern. I was pleased to find that GIO does not ask for unnecessary details, which made the sign-up process feel secure.
In terms of ads or tracking behavior, GIO appears to be transparent. I noticed minimal advertising within the app, and there were no invasive tracking behaviors that compromised my privacy. This commitment to user security enhances the overall trustworthiness of the app, making it a reliable choice for anyone looking to generate professional headshots without sacrificing their privacy.

The creation of my AI photo took forever. When I attempted to use a different photo, even though the app stated that my first was looked good, it still took forever to generate. I am still waiting as I type this review, and it's been 5+ minutes. Also, when I checked my first photo, the "suit" you applied looked so tacky, baggy, and looked like it was drawn on. It's really poor quality for an app that requires you to 7.99 just to see what you're getting into. I definitely want my money back.

wants you to rate the app 2 seconds after opening first time which is always a giant red flag. But Gio has the distinction of being one of the 4 or 5 apps I've downloaded (out of prolly 100 in the same use category) that had a dev or devs oblivious and dumb enough to think their product is going to make money, when there is 0 way to try at all, not even 1 image gen, without subscribing for at least a week, with recurring payments. no free tier, no test. just pay us and it might work. idiotic

Update Finally got in the app and it says I reached my limit Purchased the app; it downloads an outdated version that won't open any of the available options to generate photos. I go to the Play Store to write a review, and it says there's an update. So I updated, and now I can't keep the app open. It shuts down immediately. There are much better apps out there. You might need to spend a few extra coins, but don't fall for the $15-a-year gimmick after being shown a great AI birthday photoshoot.

I paid the pro version expecting a smooth experience, but the 2-generation weekly limit is frustratingly tight. Since only a fraction of the photos actually look natural, I often find myself waiting a whole week just to try again. It would be a huge help if the app showed a countdown or a usage tracker so I know exactly when my credits refresh. I also wish unused generations carried over to the next week. The tech has potential, but the lack of transparency makes it feel restrictive.

It does great shots, but it is deceptive. After you pay the initial fee for a year, you can only do 2 photo sessions of 3 shots per week (6 photos total), and it does not accumulate. If you don't use the weekly ones, you loose that week's shots. If you want to do more, you have to pay $10 for 10 more ahots for that week. I like the work, but it is limited and the company does not value customers, as they already paid for the year. I would not have purchased the subscription if I had known this!
